I Pleaded with Him to join Chelsea and enjoy good football but He still insisted on join Arsenal the ‘TROPHYLESS FC’,It pains me because He’s my best friend on international duty”, Cole Palmer unhappy as another England international star set to join Arsenal by the summer

Chelsea star Cole Palmer has openly expressed his disappointment after failing to convince one of his closest friends in the England national team to join him at Stamford Bridge — with the player instead choosing a summer move to Arsenal.

Speaking during a candid press conference ahead of Chelsea’s weekend fixture, Palmer didn’t hold back his feelings about the situation, revealing how he personally tried to sway the player’s decision, but ultimately lost the battle to Arsenal.

“I pleaded with him to join Chelsea and enjoy good football, but he still insisted on joining Arsenal — the ‘trophyless FC’,” Palmer said, sparking laughter from some of the reporters in the room. “It pains me because he’s my best friend on international duty.”

Though Palmer tactfully avoided naming the player outright, sources close to the England camp strongly suggest that the star in question is Declan Rice’s close friend and England teammate, Eberechi Eze.

Eze, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Crystal Palace this summer, has reportedly caught the attention of both London giants. However, according to recent reports and now Palmer’s revealing comments, the dynamic midfielder appears to be edging closer to a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Palmer’s remarks hint at the personal connection between the two, having bonded during recent international breaks. “We’ve had great moments together, both on and off the pitch for England. I wanted him here, wearing blue, linking up at the Bridge. But sometimes, you can’t control these things,” Palmer admitted.

The comment branding Arsenal as “trophyless FC” added a cheeky spark to the presser, reigniting the long-standing rivalry between the two London clubs, especially as both sides are set to compete for major honors next season.

When asked about Palmer’s comments later, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta remained tight-lipped about the reported transfer target but smiled when quizzed on potential summer arrivals. “We’re always looking to strengthen the team with top quality players, but I won’t comment on names today,” he responded.

If the move materializes, Eze’s arrival would mark another statement signing for Arsenal as they continue their quest to close the gap on Manchester City in both domestic and European competition.

As for Cole Palmer, it seems he’ll have to accept watching one of his best mates in football line up in the red half of North London next season.
