England FLOP manager Garath Southgate is set to become Manchester city manager if Pep Guardiola leaves this summer according to top reporters

Jermaine Jenas, a former England midfielder, believes that the Football Association (FA) has a strong reason to be hopeful about potentially hiring Pep Guardiola, the current manager of Manchester City.

Following the resignation of Gareth Southgate, who had an impressive run with the England team over four major tournaments, including two consecutive European Championship finals, the FA faces a critical decision regarding the next manager for the highly talented squad.

Reports indicate that the FA is closely monitoring Guardiola and is even willing to wait until his contract with Manchester City expires in 2025. Guardiola, who has 47 caps for Spain and won an Olympic gold medal in 1992, has expressed a desire to manage at the international level in the future. Despite his connections to Spain, it is unlikely that he will manage the Spanish national team.

Jermaine Jenas, now 41 years old, believes England is one of the few countries that could realistically attract Guardiola. “Pep is from Catalonia, so I never saw him managing Spain,” Jenas told Mirror Football at the Formula E Grand Prix last weekend. “One day, Pep will manage at the international level. The question is, which country—Brazil, Portugal, England, or Germany—will it be? He will eventually do it.”

Jenas feels that England needs a manager who prioritizes attacking football. Names like Eddie Howe of Newcastle and Graham Potter, who is currently a free agent, have also been mentioned as potential candidates for the role.
