FEE AGREED ✅: Arsenal set to land premier league top talent, fee agreed on a 4yrs deal, jersey number confirmed as announcement set to be done tomorrow
Arsenal have reportedly engaged in discussions to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers star Pedro Neto this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
The Gunners are considering signing a new winger to bolster their flanks and have been linked with several names in recent weeks. While Nico Williams has been a serious target, the Portuguese forward Pedro Neto is also on their radar. Last season, the 24-year-old had a promising campaign, scoring twice and providing nine assists in 20 Premier League appearances.
Arsenal have long been interested in Neto, frequently being linked with him during transfer windows. However, they have yet to make a concrete move to sign him. According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have already held talks with Neto’s representatives, and the player has expressed his preference for a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Although Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Neto, Arsenal are in a strong position to secure his signature as they can offer Champions League football. TEAMtalk reports that Arsenal believe Neto would be a valuable addition but would need to pay around £50 million, making him a costly option.
Neto is a versatile forward, capable of playing on either flank and providing cover as a center-forward if needed. He is quick, strong, technically adept, and can dribble past defenders in tight spaces. Additionally, he can create opportunities for teammates and works hard off the ball. Despite his talents, Neto has struggled with injuries in recent years, making a high fee for his transfer a considerable gamble.
Given these concerns, Arsenal might be better off exploring other options to strengthen their attack this summer. However, it will be interesting to see if the North London club decides to make a formal approach to sign Neto in this transfer window.
