5-YEARS DEAL AGREED: Europe most dangerous striker agree 5-year deal to join Arsenal as he’s spotted in London Conley ahead of official announcement.
Arsenal is making significant efforts to sign Besiktas wonderkid Semih Kilicsoy after his impressive breakthrough season, according to Aksam.
The 18-year-old became a regular starter for Besiktas towards the end of last season, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in the Super Lig. His outstanding performances have caught Arsenal’s attention, and the club is actively pursuing his signature this summer.
However, securing Kilicsoy won’t be inexpensive. Besiktas is seeking a record fee for a Turkish player, surpassing the £25.4 million Bayern Munich paid to sign Sacha Boey in January.
Arsenal remains in constant communication with Besiktas, but negotiating personal terms may be challenging as Kilicsoy is currently with Turkey at Euro 2024.
Kilicsoy’s Potential and Versatility
Kilicsoy has shown potential as a future star, demonstrating versatility in multiple attacking positions. He initially played a few games from the right wing at the beginning of the season. However, he found greater success playing from the left wing and as a center-forward, contributing almost all of his 15 goal involvements after the new year.
Despite being in the early stages of his development, Kilicsoy has impressed with his excellent dribbling skills and his ability to convert chances into goals. His shot-to-goal conversion rate was nearly 20 percent in the Super Lig.
Arsenal’s Strategy
Arsenal may view Kilicsoy as a potential future star but might hesitate to meet the £25.4 million asking price. Instead, the club could propose an initial payment of around £15 million, supplemented with performance-based add-ons over time.
This strategy reflects Arsenal’s interest in nurturing Kilicsoy’s talent while managing financial risk, aiming to develop him into a key player for the future.
