Real Madrid is making a historic deal to succeed maestro Toni Kroos

Today, press reports have revealed that Real Madrid’s first football team is closely monitoring a significant potential deal from the Bundesliga for the upcoming summer transfer window. The club is actively seeking to bolster its squad with top European talent to maintain its competitive edge in all tournaments and continue its dominance in both local and European championships.

As reported by the German magazine “Sport Bild,” Real Madrid is targeting the acquisition of young star Florian Wirtz in the summer of 2025 as a replacement for Toni Kroos. Wirtz, a standout midfielder for Bayer Leverkusen, has been pivotal in his team’s success this season, contributing significantly to their German League title victory and their advance to the European League final.

“Sport Bild” highlighted that several top clubs are vying for the 21-year-old’s signature, including Arsenal and Manchester City from England, Bayern Munich from Germany, and Real Madrid. Despite the interest, Wirtz has expressed his desire to stay with Bayer Leverkusen for another year. He aims to participate in the 2024 European Championship with the German national team and gain his first experience in the Champions League before making a move to Real Madrid.

The magazine also mentioned that securing Wirtz’s transfer would require a fee of at least 150 million euros. Furthermore, Wirtz is keen on joining a team that consistently contends for the most prestigious titles each season. Real Madrid officials are confident that Wirtz has the potential to succeed Kroos, who will be 35 years old by then. Although Kroos’s current contract with Real Madrid is set to expire in a few weeks, he has indicated his intention to renew his contract with the club.
