Premier league Star have decided to Sign for Manchester City in the summer in shocking move

According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, it has come to light that Lucas Paqueta, a player coveted by Manchester City, is bound by an £85 million release clause embedded in his contract with West Ham United.

The interest from Manchester City in Paqueta has been ongoing since last year, with the club viewing the Brazilian midfielder as a significant potential addition to their squad. Paqueta’s impact at West Ham has been undeniable, having featured in 37 matches across various competitions, where he has notched up an impressive seven assists and eight goals.

Since his arrival at West Ham in 2022, Lucas Paqueta has cemented his place as a key player under the management of David Moyes. At just 26 years old, Paqueta has not only become a linchpin for his club but has also earned regular call-ups to the Brazilian national team, making 44 appearances and registering 10 goals and four assists for the Selecao.

Despite Manchester City’s prior signings of Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes during the summer transfer window, the club may opt to trigger Paqueta’s release clause for a potential blockbuster summer transfer. It’s worth noting that Paqueta’s contract with West Ham is set to expire at the end of the 2026–2027 season.

In other news related to Manchester City, midfielder Rodri expressed feelings of exhaustion following their thrilling 3-3 draw against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Ahead of their upcoming Premier League fixture against Luton Town on April 13, manager Pep Guardiola hinted at the possibility of giving Rodri some much-needed rest.

Guardiola emphasized the importance of maintaining player motivation, suggesting that if a player is not fully prepared to perform, alternatives will be considered. He highlighted Rodri’s pivotal role in the team’s success, noting his contributions both defensively and offensively throughout the season, with 12 assists and 8 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions.

Furthermore, Guardiola indicated his intention to rotate the team, particularly in defense, to mitigate fatigue and utilize the upcoming international breaks for rest and recovery. As Rodri remains a cornerstone of Manchester City’s midfield, managing his workload effectively becomes crucial as the season progresses.
