Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola broke down in tears as another Key Manchester City player goes off injured during International break training this night, a very sad moment for Manchester City fans as the injury seems to be a career ending injury

Erling Haaland’s departure from Norway’s training session with a noticeable limp has sparked concern among Manchester City supporters, as the star forward’s injury could potentially disrupt the team’s upcoming fixtures.

As the international break commenced, Manchester City’s squad dispersed for national team duties, but unfortunately, it seems that their manager, Pep Guardiola, has already encountered a significant setback.

Video footage circulated on social media on Tuesday depicting Haaland exiting the field during a Norway training session, visibly hampered by what appeared to be discomfort or pain.

This injury worry is compounded by Haaland’s previous struggle with a foot stress injury, which sidelined him for 12 matches between December and January. Despite making a comeback at the end of January, his discomfort resurfaced during exercises with his national teammates.

City’s upcoming schedule includes crucial fixtures such as a Premier League encounter against Arsenal on March 31, followed by matches against Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, and Luton Town in April. Additionally, they are set to face Real Madrid in a two-leg Champions League quarterfinal and clash with Chelsea in an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Currently trailing Arsenal and Liverpool by a single point in the league standings, Guardiola’s side finds itself in third place. Haaland’s potential absence is particularly concerning given his remarkable performance this season, boasting 18 goals in 23 games and positioning himself as a strong contender for the Premier League Golden Boot for the second consecutive year.

The Norwegian prodigy shattered records last season by scoring the highest number of goals in a single Premier League campaign, netting an impressive 36 league goals. Throughout this season, he has amassed 29 goals and provided six assists across 34 appearances in all competitions.

In the coming week, Haaland is slated to feature in Norway’s friendlies against Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Guardiola, when asked about Haaland’s participation, indicated a hands-off approach, stating, “He is not my player anymore going forward; whatever they decide will be fine.”

Guardiola emphasized the importance of sensibly managing these friendly matches, acknowledging the rigorous training and dedication required to reach this point in the season. He expressed his hopes for the players’ success while urging caution and sensible play to avoid exacerbating any existing injuries.
