Speaking about his squad’s performance, Klopp admitted that the Gunners just outperformed his team in terms of opportunities on goal.
“We didn’t play enough football, but we gradually improved our approach to the game. We had a few occasions where we got back into the game after falling behind 1-0. Shots on target are one of those statistics that never lie. We only scored one goal in the first half, which is unusual. In the second, we had one goal and no other. Arsenal clearly outperformed us in that regard. There is no dispute about that.
