Manchester City play Maker Kevin De Bruyne has agreed personal terms with Saudi Arabian Club and he is set to leave this week

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shared his insights on the rumored deal between Al Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League and Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City. De Bruyne, now 33 years old, has a contract set to expire next summer.

Since his arrival at Manchester City from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2015, De Bruyne has been a pivotal figure for the team. Over his time at the club, he has made significant contributions, appearing in 382 games across all competitions, scoring 102 goals, and providing 170 assists.

However, with his contract nearing its end, there has been speculation about interest in De Bruyne, particularly from Saudi Arabia. Romano addressed these rumors on Twitter, stating that Al Ittihad, who are reportedly close to signing Moussa Diaby, have been “playing down news” regarding De Bruyne’s potential transfer.

Romano also mentioned that Al Ittihad is keen on signing Manchester City’s goalkeeper, Ederson. Despite their interest, securing this transfer is expected to be a challenging task.

Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola’s management, recently secured their fourth consecutive Premier League title, marking their sixth league win in seven years—both unprecedented achievements in English football history. However, their quest to make history by winning consecutive English domestic doubles was thwarted by a 2-1 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
