Benjamin Sesko deal,Semenyo agreement, Tierney out”, Dream Arsenal line up once the January transfer is completed – As Arteta set to Make three changes to the attacking line

Arsenal could target RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as they reconsider alternatives Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres.

The Gunners previously showed interest in Sesko last summer, but the Slovenia international opted to sign a new contract with Leipzig. At the time, Sesko was reportedly hesitant about playing a secondary role to Kai Havertz, given the German’s strong end-of-season form.

While Arsenal have been linked with Isak and Gyokeres as potential options, the Daily Mail reports that the club may not pursue either player. Instead, Mikel Arteta’s side is expected to wait until the end of the season to invest in a marquee striker.

Gyokeres has impressed at Sporting CP, tallying 70 goals and 20 assists in 75 appearances, but Arsenal have concerns over his age as he turns 27 in June. Meanwhile, Isak has long been a top target, but the club is wary of his recurring injury issues. Arsenal fears their high-pressing style could exacerbate the Swede’s injury risks.

As a result, the Gunners are likely to revisit their interest in Sesko next summer. The 21-year-old striker, a Salzburg academy product, had a strong debut season with Leipzig, recording 18 goals and two assists. He has carried that form into the current campaign, with 10 goals and three assists so far.

Sesko’s potential, age, and playing style make him a perfect fit for Arsenal. While his goal tally is comparable to Havertz’s, Sesko, at 21, has a higher ceiling. He combines aerial prowess with relentless pressing and boasts a superior shot conversion rate (20%) compared to Havertz (14%). Additionally, Sesko’s ability to generate power in his shots and score with both feet adds to his appeal.

Valued at £41.5 million by Transfermarkt, Arsenal would likely need to pay significantly more for his services. Leipzig removed a £55 million release clause in Sesko’s contract during his renewal, putting the Bundesliga club in a strong position to negotiate. Nevertheless, Sesko’s potential makes him a highly attractive prospect for Arsenal.
