Reports indicate that Real Madrid is looking to sell Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy. According to Cadena SER, the club is interested in signing Miguel Gutierrez from Girona and Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich.
Davies, the Canadian left-back, has long been on Real Madrid’s radar. He has yet to agree to a new contract with Bayern Munich, with his current deal set to expire next summer. Along with Madrid, Barcelona is also reportedly interested in the 24-year-old.
There are also rumors suggesting that Miguel Gutierrez may return to his former club. The 23-year-old left Real Madrid for Girona in August 2022, and since then, he has made 93 appearances, contributing 16 assists and six goals in all competitions.
Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly looking to offload Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia to create space for new signings. Mendy joined Real Madrid from Lyon in July 2019, and in 184 appearances for the club, he has scored six goals and provided ten assists. His contract is set to expire next summer.
Fran Garcia, who had previously been part of Real Madrid’s youth setup, rejoined the club from Rayo Vallecano in July 2023. The 25-year-old has played 44 matches for Madrid, scoring one goal and registering seven assists. Although his contract runs until the summer of 2027, he is reportedly free to leave at the end of next season.
