PSG chief willing to pay €140 million for Arsenal star as dream Kylian Mbappe replacement finally identified
The French giants are already planning for life after Mbappé, who is set to leave the club this summer when his contract expires.
Last month, he was spotted meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, though reports suggest that discussions about convincing the France captain to remain at PSG were not part of the agenda.
Mbappé has been heavily linked with a free transfer to Real Madrid, although neither club has officially confirmed any deal.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the 24-year-old has been in frequent contact with two former Real Madrid players—club legend Sergio Ramos and his current PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi—regarding his potential move to Madrid.
PSG has focused on acquiring French talent, with the arrivals of Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Muani, and Nordi Mukiele last summer. Other young local players, such as Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola, have also become integral to the squad.
However, PSG is still targeting European talent and has reportedly set its sights on Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka as a potential replacement for Mbappé.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Saka is at the top of PSG’s transfer wishlist this summer, with the club prepared to offer at least €140 million for the 22-year-old winger, which would make him Arsenal’s most expensive sale.
The report also notes that Arsenal is reluctant to let Saka go, particularly as losing him would force manager Mikel Arteta to find a suitable replacement in the summer transfer market.
