“We accepted the offer as he no longer wants to stay…”But this is not how football should be conducted; Arsenal is a menace to our beautiful game, and FIFA must interfere immediately”: Club boss confirms Arsenal’s proposal for their ‘best player’ has been approved, and the player has already committed to join the Gunners.
Arsenal have reportedly made a move to sign a forward earning £162,000 per week for manager Mikel Arteta, following a recent change in their transfer strategy.
Despite Kai Havertz’s strong performance for Arsenal last season, where he scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions, the club is still considering signing a new striker. Havertz, who initially had a slow start, found form in a makeshift forward role, raising questions about Gabriel Jesus’s future, particularly after the Brazilian’s injury-plagued and less impactful 2023/24 season.
Jesus missed 16 games due to injury, during which Havertz solidified his position under Arteta. This situation has led to speculation that Arsenal may seek additional striking options before the summer transfer window closes. Arteta is believed to be interested in pairing Havertz with another striker, as well as finding a reliable alternative to Jesus.
Arsenal had previously attempted to sign RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko but were unsuccessful as he extended his contract with the club. Since then, Arsenal has been linked with other strikers, including Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon and Brian Brobbey from Ajax, as well as more ambitious targets like Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen, a standout player at Napoli, has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Chelsea among the interested clubs. Journalist Ben Jacobs noted that Osimhen’s preference for the Premier League makes him an attractive target for these clubs, despite competition from PSG. Osimhen is reportedly seeking a salary of around £250,000 per week, a figure that Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG are all willing to pay.
