Jurgen Klopp, former Liverpool coach, reacts to Arsenal’s latest transfer news, reporting Mikel Arteta to FIFA for agreeing personal terms to sign Liverpool’s top target. “Arteta is k!lling our beautiful game… He’s signing all the players I instructed Liverpool to sign before I left, but this very last one, I won’t watch him get the deal done, something must be done now”
Tottenham Hotspur is set to enter discussions to sign Feyenoord’s standout player Santiago Giménez this summer, but they are facing competition from Arsenal, according to the Mexican outlet Fox Sports.
Spurs have already strengthened their squad by signing Archie Gray from Leeds United and are close to securing South Korean talent Min-Hyuk Yang, though Yang is not expected to play for the senior team next season.
Manager Ange Postecoglou is reportedly keen to make additional signings, particularly in the attacking department. Among the players linked to Tottenham are Jonathan David and Ivan Toney, but Santiago Giménez has also emerged as a target.
Fox Sports reports that both Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in acquiring Giménez, with the clubs potentially competing against each other for his signature. Other major clubs like Juventus, AC Milan, RB Leipzig, and Atletico Madrid are also in the mix.
Although neither Tottenham nor Arsenal has made a formal offer yet, Giménez’s agent and father are planning to travel to Europe to discuss potential moves with interested clubs.
Giménez, who has just begun pre-season training with Feyenoord after participating in the Copa America, has four years left on his contract. This positions Feyenoord to demand a substantial fee, as the player is valued at around £34 million by Transfermarkt.
The 23-year-old had an impressive last season, scoring 23 goals and providing six assists in 30 Eredivisie matches, making him an attractive prospect for both North London clubs. The competition between Tottenham and Arsenal for Giménez’s signature could be a key storyline in this transfer window.
