Arsenal are reportedly competing with Manchester United to sign AFC Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez this summer, according to HITC. The Gunners are looking to strengthen their defense by adding a new left-back, though Mikel Arteta typically prefers using center-backs in fullback positions.

Arsenal have shown interest in several potential signings, including Jorrel Hato, but are now also considering Kerkez, a natural left-back. HITC reports that Arsenal have been monitoring Kerkez’s development closely with the intention of making a move this summer. However, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City are also interested in the 20-year-old.

Bournemouth recently signed Kerkez and are keen to keep him, but may be willing to sell if a £40 million offer is made. Both Arsenal and Manchester United would need to meet this fee to secure his signature. Manchester United are particularly motivated to strengthen their left-back position due to injury problems with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Kerkez is known for his speed, offensive capabilities, excellent crossing, and defensive contributions. He is considered a talented player with high potential, making him an attractive long-term investment for either club. Despite his raw talent, there are concerns about whether he is ready to step up to a top club.

Given these uncertainties, Arsenal and Manchester United might explore other defensive options. However, it will be interesting to see if either club decides to formalize their interest in Kerkez during this transfer window.
