“I don’t know how Arsenal fans may see it but I’m back to right my wrongs, Seeing them bottling the League title twice makes me cry because the fans deserve nothing more but happiness”, Arsenal player who left EMIRATE back then has told Arteta that He will be joining as free agent this summer to help Arsenal lift the league title

Arsenal are currently focusing on acquiring Dan Bentley, the Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper and former Arsenal youth player, as a backup for David Raya. This move aims to bolster their goalkeeping options and prepare for any potential changes in their lineup.

Journalist Alan Nixon shared on his Patreon that Arsenal sees Bentley as a strong candidate for the backup goalkeeper position. Bentley himself seems open to the idea, even if it means being the third-choice goalkeeper. This interest in Bentley arises as Arsenal faces uncertainty regarding Aaron Ramsdale’s future at the club. Despite valuing Ramsdale at £50 million, the club has found it difficult to attract buyers willing to meet this price. Should Ramsdale remain at Arsenal, Bentley is expected to join as the third-choice keeper.

There has been speculation about Ramsdale’s departure, but recent reports suggest Newcastle United, one of the interested parties, has withdrawn from pursuing him. Adding Bentley would benefit Arsenal in several ways. Bentley has Premier League experience, having played for Wolves and participated in five matches this season, including one against Arsenal.

Furthermore, Bentley is a homegrown player, having spent his formative years at Arsenal between 2001 and 2008 before moving on to Southend United, Brentford, and Bristol City in the Championship. He made his return to the Premier League with Wolves in 2022.

In addition to Bentley, Arsenal is also considering Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia. However, this potential signing depends more on Ramsdale’s departure. Garcia had an impressive second half of the 2023/24 season with Espanyol, boasting an 82.5% save percentage and strong aerial skills. He has attracted interest from Real Madrid and several English clubs.

Arsenal’s goalkeeping coach, Inaki Cana, follows Garcia on social media, suggesting an interest in his abilities and potential fit for Arsenal. Despite this, Bentley’s signing appears to be a more immediate and practical option for the Gunners, independent of the final decision regarding Ramsdale’s future.
