Manchester City Star Jack Grealish has finally spoken out after being dropped by Gareth Southgate

Jack Grealish makes a significant decision for Manchester City following his disappointing exclusion from the England squad. As the Premier League season approaches, Grealish is determined to move past his rejection from the national team.

Grealish was not included in Gareth Southgate’s final 23-man roster for Euro 2024, following a lackluster season with Manchester City. Despite his disappointment, the inclusion of players like Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon, who were both in excellent form, provided Grealish with the chance to focus on preparing for the upcoming season with his club.

Videos circulating on social media show the 28-year-old already training, even though the preseason has not officially begun. According to The Mirror, Grealish has informed Manchester City that he will start training several days ahead of manager Pep Guardiola’s scheduled return.

Last season, Grealish struggled to secure a spot in the team due to multiple injuries. Guardiola often preferred Belgian winger Jeremy Doku on the left wing, leaving Grealish with limited opportunities. However, with the preseason trip and the Community Shield match against rivals Manchester United on the horizon, Grealish has a prime opportunity to impress.

His commitment to training early underscores his resolve to overcome Southgate’s decision. Grealish’s current goal is to return to the field for Manchester City, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he eventually earns his place back in the international squad.

During England’s 3-0 victory over Bosnia & Herzegovina, Grealish made an appearance off the bench. Despite England’s nerve-wracking victory against Serbia and a 1-1 draw with Denmark, their Euro 2024 campaign has not had an ideal start. Many supporters believe that Grealish’s inclusion could address some of England’s current issues.

Having signed for £100 million in 2021, Grealish remains Manchester City’s record signing and is expected to be crucial to any future successes for the club.
