Arsenal has made a significant move by placing an offer for a standout player from Euro 2024, marking a notable development in their summer transfer activities.

So far, the Gunners have taken a cautious approach to the transfer market, focusing on strategic decisions. This summer is expected to see several players leave Emirates Stadium, with Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah among those linked with potential exits.

However, Arsenal’s sporting director, Edu Gaspar, has already taken action by submitting a bid for a player who has caught the eye at the Euros. According to Turkish outlet Ajan Spor, Arsenal has tabled a €20 million offer for Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu.

This bid aligns with earlier reports from journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who mentioned in May that the Gunners were close to agreeing on personal terms with the left-back. The potential signing comes at a time when Oleksandr Zinchenko’s future at Arsenal is uncertain due to stalled contract renewal talks, and Kieran Tierney was anticipated to leave this summer before sustaining an injury while playing for Scotland at the Euros.

Last season, Arsenal faced challenges in securing a consistent left-back, with Takehiro Tomiyasu emerging as the first-choice towards the end of the campaign after displacing Jakub Kiwior. Additionally, Jurrien Timber was sidelined for most of the season due to an ACL injury, only making a return for the final game.

By pursuing Kadioglu, Arsenal aims to solidify their left-back position and address one of the critical gaps in their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
