Former Manchester City Captain and Burnley Coach has been appointed as the manager of this shocking European giant this morning.

With Vincent Kompany on the verge of becoming the new manager of Bayern Munich, fans are just starting to discover who will be his trusted assistant. The Bavarian club has faced numerous challenges in their quest for a new manager, including their unsuccessful attempts to convince Thomas Tuchel to extend his stay beyond this season.

After several failed attempts to find a suitable replacement for Julian Nagelsmann, including efforts to secure Xabi Alonso, Ralf Rangnick, and Oliver Glasner, Kompany emerged as the leading candidate. He is expected to take over as Bayern’s manager before the end of the week. This follows his experience of relegation with Burnley in his first season managing in the Premier League.

Kompany began his managerial career as a player-manager at Anderlecht, his boyhood club, and he is now poised to take on his third managerial role. Despite having a contract with Burnley that runs until 2028, a compensation package has been negotiated, and an agreement is reportedly close.

According to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, Kompany plans to bring his backroom staff with him to Bayern’s Allianz Arena. His team includes assistant manager Craig Bellamy and first-team coaches Mike Jackson, Piet Cremers, and Floribert N’Galula. This dedicated group will support Kompany as he embarks on this new chapter in his managerial career.
