“He’s the only Arsenal player that i fear, i just hope Mikel Arteta will bench him against us”- Porto defender Pepe admitted that he is terrified of the 24-year-old Arsenal sensation after watching him against Sheffield.

Pepe revealed what he found unusual after Ben White scored Arsenal’s sixth goal in their overwhelming victory over Sheffield United on Monday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side made a major statement in the Premier League title battle. Of fact, few expected them to struggle against the Blades at Bramall Lane. But the manner in which Arsenal won was pretty remarkable.

Prior to the halftime, the Gunners led 5-0. If they had kept their foot on the accelerator, additional records may have been shattered.

In fact, the only goal scored in the second half came from an unlikely source: Ben White, who finished superbly for only his fourth goal in an Arsenal shirt.

Many of White’s Arsenal colleagues praised the right-back on social media following the win. And, commenting on Wrighty’s House, Ian Wright stated that it was quite satisfying to see how much the goal meant to the 26-year old.

“You know, the goal I liked the best yesterday was Ben White’s. Ben White’s goal is to move forward in the way he does. And it’s odd, but even seeing Ben White grin makes me happy because he appears to be such a serious, deep person. But he hit it so well.”

Of course, some have stated that White is not a football aficionado. The defender himself stated that he enjoys playing the game despite not watching it in his spare time (Telegraph).

So perhaps it’s not surprising that he seemed to enjoy his goal against the Blades.

Arsenal are currently playing the finest football in the Premier League, which is undeniable. They’ve scored 31 goals in their last seven league games.

And, at the moment, no one has more momentum in the Premier League title chase.
