Manchester City Skipper Kevin De Bruyne has made the decision to leave Manchester City to join one of the biggest clubs in world football!

According to 90min, Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are the Saudi Pro League’s top targets for the summer.

Following the summer’s high-profile additions of Neymar, Fabinho, and Karim Benzema to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, Saudi negotiators are once again planning plans to bring some of Europe’s top players to the Middle East.

Twenty major or ‘elite’ targets are among approximately 100 potential options; Saudi officials hope to persuade nearly half of these exceptional candidates to take the move. The similar method was employed throughout the summer of 2023.

Salah and De Bruyne, who according to 90 Minutes have been selected as the division’s top targets combined, are at the top of the desire list.

Salah is thought to be willing to go to Saudi Arabia at some point in the future. The Liverpool star is nearing the conclusion of his contract, thus a new approach will be made this summer. However, it is unknown whether he will consider leaving Anfield; a new deal is expected later this year.

De Bruyne’s agents have not yet revealed whether the Manchester City player is interested in migrating to Saudi Arabia.

De Bruyne’s current deal expires in 2025, therefore City is anxious to lock him down with a new one. Manager Pep Guardiola has stated publicly that he wants to continue working with the Belgian.

Guardiola earlier stated, “It’s a question for him; I’d love for him to stay, but I’m not sure.” “I’ve heard some rumors, but I’m not sure if Saudi Arabia wants him or if there’s a deal. Though everyone is everyone, I would love for him to stay till the end of his career.”

If City considers an exit, they will most certainly demand a fee considerably above £100 million, potentially closer to the £150 million Liverpool offered for Salah the previous summer.

Salah’s ideal in Saudi Arabia would be to join Al Hilal and play alongside Neymar (if he stays), Ruben Neves, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Meanwhile, Al Nassr and Al Ittihad are both trying to recruit Manchester United center-back Raphael Varane.

Another name to keep an eye on is Thiago Alcantara. A number of Saudi clubs, including Al Ettifaq, are considering signing a pre-contract with the Liverpool midfielder.

Keep an eye on some younger names as well, as the quota criteria have altered to allow 10 foreigners for the upcoming season, with only two of them needing to be born in 2003 or later. Loans will be considered in order to acquire a higher calibre of potential talent and create relationships with elite teams, despite the widespread desire to buy.

Liverpool’s injured Ben Doak, Dortmund’s Almugera Kabar, Sampdoria’s Facundo Gonzalez (on loan from Juventus), and Lorient’s Eli Junior Kroupi are all under consideration for short-term contracts.
