‘Arteta is the one demoting this team; if not, I don’t see why you’re keeping him till 90 minutes when the game is already won; subsequently, you’ll hear He’s injured, which is really bad’: Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino outlines the ONE Arsenal player whom Arteta must protect after the game is won.

Former Tottenham player and Talk Sport analyst Jamie O’Hara believes Arsenal should protect Bukayo Saka by substituting him in games where they already have a comfortable lead.

Saka has been an outstanding player for Arsenal, playing a key role in the club’s recovery over the last two seasons. His steady performances have made him a valuable asset for the Gunners, and Mikel Arteta frequently keeps him on the field for extended periods of time to maximize his impact on the game.

While this method has proven effective, with Saka scoring twice in each of his previous two appearances, O’Hara believes that in matches where Arsenal is clearly leading, the club should consider changing Saka early to limit the risk of potential injuries.

He remarked on Talk Sports:

“You want to keep him fit; you have a lot of games coming up; you are competing for the title. Today, the game was over, he put in another outstanding effort; pull him off, and protect him.”

Just Arsenal Opinion

Saka is a player we cannot afford to lose to injury, and O’Hara’s concerns are justified. In games that we have won comfortably, we can take him off to avoid a late tackle that could sideline him for a long time.
