‘He is the one killing this Arsenal team, but they won’t see it now since they’re blaming Martinelli and Havertz’: Chelsea veteran Frank Lampard names one Arsenal player who must be sold this summer if Arteta truly wants to compete for the title.

Arsenal reportedly gave up on getting the most out of Thomas Partey.

The midfielder, who signed from Atletico Madrid in 2020 for a reputed £45 million (Sky Sports), has battled to maintain consistency.

Although he has shown glimpses of the player who impressed so much in La Liga, Partey, 30, has largely disappointed, and several poor performances, as well as injury issues, are arguably to blame for the club’s decision to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for £105 million last summer.

The newest update in the ongoing saga comes from Fichajes, who claim Arsenal’s Partey is top of Juventus’ summer shortlist, with manager Max Allegri eager to assist the midfielder recover his best form.

Interestingly, with only 18 months left on his contract and currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, there is growing concern that Parety may have already played his final game for the Gunners, and as a result, the club is willing to accept as little as £15 million for him when the summer window opens at the end of this season.

During his three-and-a-half years in London, Partey, who has represented Ghana 45 times, has scored five goals and produced four assists in 105 matches across all competitions.
