Brighton is willing to sell their star player to Arsenal for less than €60 million, as the player begs the club not to disappoint him like Caicedo

Arsenal are set to lead the race for Brighton and Hove Albion’s Kaoru Mitoma.

According to recent sources, Arsenal has made tremendous headway in its pursuit of the Japanese international, outpacing rivals Manchester United and Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta believes Mitoma, based on his performances since breaking into the Brighton starting eleven in 2022, might be the missing piece of the puzzle for Arsenal’s hopes, particularly against City and Liverpool. Gabriel Martinelli has had a difficult season after a spectacular showing in 2022/23, netting only two Premier League goals before finishing Arsenal’s overwhelming victory over Crystal Palace with a breakaway goal.

Mythoma might follow in the footsteps of previous Brighton players who have transferred to Big Six clubs, such Ben White and Leandro Trossard, who joined Arsenal. However, any deal is unlikely to occur during the January window, as Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi is hesitant to part with a crucial player in the middle of the season.

Brighton’s history demonstrates that they only sell their finest players when the timing and transfer fee align with their expectations. Brighton are thought to demand at least £70 million for Mitoma and may launch talks in the summer, but Arsenal are eager to start talks for the 26-year-old striker.
