FOUR critical things that will favor Arsenal after Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool unexpected exit – great potential for Mikel Arteta to take over the league immediately.

For the first time since 2014, Liverpool will begin a Premier League season without Jurgen Klopp in charge at Anfield.

Klopp, 56, has confirmed that he will quit the Reds at the end of this season. The decision will bring an end to his successful tenure on Merseyside, during which he won every available club competition.

“I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, and I love the staff,” the German told Liverpool’s official website. “I love everything. However, the fact that I am still making this decision demonstrates that I am confident it is the right one.

“It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.”

It is unclear what will happen next in Liverpool. However, how Klopp’s departure from the Premier League will affect Arsenal and Mikel Artera is much apparent.

For Arteta, touchline theatrics and arguments in the right dugout at Anfield will be over. The Arsenal manager had a spat with Klopp two and a half years ago, and the story went viral due to Arteta’s obvious rage toward his adversary.

Liverpool’s next manager is currently unknown. However, Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso has emerged as the early favourite to return to England and build on his good start to his managerial career.

The two Spaniards formerly played for San Sebastian’s Antiguoko before moving on to other teams. A transfer to the Premier League would pit the two against each other for the first time in the dugout.

Arteta would have Pep Guardiola as his coaching mentor at Manchester City, as well as Alonso, a childhood friend from Liverpool. I believe we may expect some difficult moments on the sideline.

Aside from his role as Arsenal’s head coach, Edu Gaspar may have a transfer market potential. The Brazilian has become well-known for combing South America for abroad potential, having signed Gabriel Martinelli and Marquinhos in recent years, along with several other Brazilian wonderkids.
