It appears that Arsenal may have finally identified the striker who can add much-needed goals to Mikel Arteta’s squad next summer.

This season, Arsenal’s pairing of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah has just not worked.

Although the combo performs admirably in 90% of games, their lack of merciless goal-scoring instinct is always evident.

It appears that Arteta’s side is stuck in a cycle, putting their full trust in the couple only to realize there is something lacking.

While both are good players in their own right, it almost feels like the two are too similar, with no difference when one substitutes the other.

And, with Jesus the stronger of the two, many believe Nketiah will be sold in the summer to allow Arsenal to sign a new striker.

That being stated, Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport has recently claimed that Joshua Zirkzee will be the striker who can make a difference.

La Gazzetta reported today on page 17 of their printed version that Arsenal will put aside €50 million (£43 million) to buy Zirkzee in the summer.
